Isaac liu

Isaac Liu, 14, is a Grade 9 student at West Point Grey Academy. A deeply passionate musician who embraces music in all its dimensions, he plays piano and viola at the ARCT level, as well as guitar and bass. At school, he is a pianist and violist for the WPGA Wolfgang Orchestra and a keyboardist for the WPGA Theater Company. As a member of the Youth Musician & Artist Association (YMAA) leadership team, Isaac regularly performs at senior homes and charity concerts.

His festival and competition highlights include the 2025 Crescendo International Music Competition at Carnegie Hall, First Prize in the senior division at the 2025 SSP Sea to Sky International Piano Competition, and the 2024 Steinway Standards of Excellence Awards for Young Artists. Isaac has performed a piano concerto with orchestras in Vancouver annually for the past three years and is currently preparing two more orchestral collaborations in 2026. He has greatly enjoyed his piano studies at the ARCT level and looks forward to pursuing higher goals that continue to fuel his passion for the piano.
