Evan is a 12-year-old pianist and Grade 6 student at Mulgrave School in West Vancouver. He began piano studies at the age of four and currently trains under the mentorship of Professor Corey Hamm, with additional guidance from Professor Ilana Vered. His early foundation was established with Dr. Boris Konovalov.

Evan has garnered numerous accolades in prestigious piano competitions. He was awarded the Master Award and First Prize at the German CLAVIS Piano Competition in both 2021 and 2022. In 2023, he earned First Prizes at the SPG and Kiwanis competitions, Second Prize (ages 14 and under) at the Canadian Youth Orchestra (CYO) Competition, and the Overall Award in the Junior Division of the Steinway Piano Competition. Most recently, in 2024, Evan won First Place in the Senior Graded Division for Solo Piano at the Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival.

His performance career includes appearances on notable international stages. In July 2022, Evan performed with the Colima University Orchestra at the Petrof Festival in Mexico. He was invited to the Perugia Music Festival in Italy in both 2023 and 2024, where he appeared with the Perugia Symphony Orchestra. In May 2024, he performed with the Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra in Canada, and in November 2024, he made his Carnegie Hall debut in New York as a prizewinner of the Pacific Rim International Music Festival. In 2025, Evan performed a concerto with the Vancouver Chamber Orchestra at the Chan Centre, conducted by Ian Parker.

In addition to piano, Evan is an accomplished cellist, having also started cello at the age of four. He currently studies with Shapard Henry, principal cellist of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. As an active member of the Mulgrave School Orchestra, Evan performs regularly as a cellist, showcasing his love for ensemble playing and orchestral music.

Outside of music, Evan enjoys a wide range of activities including reading, chess, debating, badminton, soccer, and traveling. He is also a competitive swimmer and has earned championship titles in freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke at the Private School Alliance Swimming Competitions.
